WORKERS Lot 857, Sanforized, 10 oz, Double Twist Chino, Oyster

A Type 3 denim jacket. I want to wear one! But I've never been fond of the distinct, cinched-waist silhouette.

For our 25FW model, I tried changing that silhouette I disliked into the straight, boxy cut of a "Type 1."
I have to say, it's very easy to wear. However, because the 25FW version used "unshrunk, raw" fabric, it tends to twist.
It truly became a Type 3 that was twisted just like a Type 1.

This time, we used fabric treated to prevent twisting, resulting in a Type 3 that is not only "without the cinched waist of a Type 1," but also "does not twist."
It is a true "boxy silhouette" Type 3.
Since the fabric is preshrunk, we also created new brown-toned buttons to match.

The Navy/Oyster colorway is inspired by 90s European vintage.
It features a white tab. When I searched for inspiration for an original twill fabric, I realized it was different from standard chino/weapon fabrics.
It had no twisting or distortion in the silhouette and a refined sheen on the surface.
Then, when I looked at double-twist twill fabric... it was a match!
Double-twist... just like 2PLYT, by twisting threads together, it suppresses fabric twisting and thread irregularities.

However, double-twist fabric is expensive! Instead of just making a standard 20-count thread, you have to go out of your way to make 40-count (thinner) threads and twist them together.
Generally, thin threads require "high-quality cotton with long fibers," which is costly. That is also why double-twist fabric is expensive.

Furthermore, with this ultra-high-density fabric, the areas with stitching will inevitably experience "blooming."
When sewing, the needle will inevitably cut some of the weave threads. Because it is so high-density, the needle cannot pass between the weave.
