Wichard was founded in 1919 by Henri Wichard in Thiers, France. Originally a subcontractor for cutlery, the company is now a global manufacturer of marine equipment, such as yachting gear, and continues to manufacture high-quality products domestically. Due to their exceptional quality, their tools are used not only for yachts but also in skydiving, rescue operations, and by astronauts.

 

This carabiner from the French company Wichard is used by professional yachtsmen to secure ropes. When used in combination with separately sold shackles or the included double ring, it serves as a perfect key ring to neatly organize your keys. In addition to its superior durability and functionality, the spring is strong enough to ensure it won't slip off your belt loop or bag. Designed for use in harsh conditions involving exposure to seawater, it is crafted from AISI 316 (SUS316L) grade stainless steel, which offers enhanced corrosion resistance compared to standard stainless steel.
