TUF-NUT, a brand that developed workwear primarily in the American West, earned a reputation for high-quality craftsmanship, leading them to supply work shirts and slacks to the military during World War II.
After the war, they continued to produce high-quality chambray shirts, work jackets, work pants, and overalls, gaining widespread recognition across the United States.
The brand later expanded beyond workwear to meet the needs of the times.
By the 60s, they had diversified their materials, functionality, and color palettes—offering East Coast-inspired items like colored pants and stretch apparel—setting themselves apart from other workwear brands with a different perspective.
These work trousers are made from durable twill fabric woven from a blend of 65% polyester and 35% cotton.
The fabric is characterized by its pleasant feel, wrinkle resistance, and a unique luster.
While many vintage TUF-NUT trousers feature urea buttons, these have been updated with snap buttons engraved with the brand name for added convenience.
Incorporating vintage details like a waist coin pocket and brass TALON zipper, the pockets and pocket bags have been designed slightly larger to suit modern life.
The silhouette is a thick straight cut, and the length is uniform across all waist sizes.

The work pants I’ve been looking forward to have finally arrived.
These are "so-called" work pants, distinct from cotton-poly blend chinos. I wanted to introduce something great at our shop, but it was hard to find... however, with our decision to carry TUF-NUT, we’ve finally started selling work pants I can confidently recommend.
With their tightly woven fabric, waist coin pocket, and TALON zipper, the details are perfect. The silhouette is that classic, thick, masculine shape from back in the day.
I think these are the definitive work pants.
I’m going to buy them in every color! (lol)
