RENDO is a footwear brand based out of its atelier and shop in Asakusa, Tokyo.

Our design process begins in the atelier with the creation of original shoe lasts.
The last is of critical importance, as it determines the form, design, and fit of a shoe.
RENDO shoes are crafted with comfort as our primary consideration, based on lasts developed through repeated testing and refining, guided by foot measurement data that takes the specific characteristics of the Japanese foot into account.
The toe shape, which defines the overall impression of the shoe, is balanced to be unobtrusive, creating an elegant look that transcends fleeting trends.

Furthermore, by having the designer—who possesses a deep understanding of the background of these lasts—apply their experience and technical skills as a pattern maker to translate classic designs into paper patterns, we have created designs with more refined lines that maintain a sense of consistency without compromising the intent of the original last.

RENDO shoes are produced by factories in Asakusa staffed by skilled artisans.
True to our brand name, which means "linkage" or "working in tandem," we visit the factories repeatedly from the planning stage onwards, engaging in ongoing dialogue with the craftsmen to ensure a smooth production process. Through constant prototyping and verification, we have achieved a high level of quality that stays true to our original vision.

Introducing the new moccasin shoes from "TEP_P," a spin-off brand from the highly acclaimed Asakusa footwear label "RENDO."
With a slightly different concept, these shoes are designed to be worn easily for everyday errands.
They are truly remarkable, and I genuinely hope everyone has a chance to try them on!

You will be surprised by their lightness and softness the moment you pick them up.
Without a lining or toe and heel stiffeners, the single-piece leather upper wraps around your foot for a soft, comfortable fit.
In traditional shoemaking, the last is a crucial element that determines the shape and comfort of the shoe.
However, these shoes are made without a last during the construction phase (outside of pattern-making), designed to mold to your feet as you wear and walk in them over time.

The design is a universal moccasin type that works well with everything from casual to slightly more refined outfits.
Since there is no heel stiffener, you can even step on the heel to wear them like sandals.
We also offer a sole replacement service.
