RIDGE MOUNTAIN GEAR is a manufacturer that creates tools for spending time in the mountains, as well as for simplifying your daily life leading up to those moments.
We focus on crafting products that are simple, yet thoroughly considered and sophisticated.

For the main body of the cap, we use Toray's Stunner®, a 100% nylon material that is water-repellent, windproof, and breathable.
It protects against wind and rain while preventing discomfort caused by perspiration, and it offers excellent durable water repellency.

Despite being a synthetic fiber, it has a natural look similar to a cotton blend, and the coating on the reverse side gives it a nice, firm texture.

The sweatband uses COOLMAX® fabric.
This 100% polyester pique material combines moisture-wicking, quick-drying, and UV protection (UPF 40+) features.

The design of the main body is a basic six-panel construction.
In contrast to designs like cycling caps that have a shallow fit and short brim, this cap is designed to be roomy and deep, with a brim length that provides effective sun protection without being overly susceptible to wind.

I have tried on many outdoor caps, but none of them felt deep enough to fit securely down to the base above my ears.
In windy situations, I would feel stressed and anxious that the cap might blow away.
This is because I have a larger head size, and it is not a criticism of those products themselves.

This "Basic Cap" was created with the goal of being a cap that I, with a slightly larger head circumference, can wear comfortably and with peace of mind.
Therefore, the head circumference is slightly roomier than that of a standard cap.

* We recommend using a laundry net when washing.
Dark-colored products may transfer color, so please wash them separately from other items as a precaution.
Do not use detergents containing fluorescent whitening agents or chlorine bleach.
Avoid tumble drying.
When ironing, always use a pressing cloth and iron from the back side.
The brim uses a soft core, so it will not break if folded; however, folding the brim too tightly may cause wrinkles that take time to return to their original state.
Please avoid folding it intentionally.
