For me, the time I spend hiking is just as much a part of my daily life as the time I spend at home or in the city.
I want to be able to move comfortably and easily throughout that continuous flow of time.
RIDGE MOUNTAIN GEAR creates gear and clothing that gently align with that feeling.

Every feature has a reason, and nothing unnecessary is added.
The construction is designed so that if something breaks, it can be repaired and used again, and I build upon the insights I gain from my own hikes, turning them into small improvements.

What I want to create isn't something you only pull out for special occasions, but gear that you find yourself reaching for every day.
I like to call the items that find a place in my daily life in this way my "staples."
To me, a staple doesn't mean never changing; it means not changing too much.
While listening to the voices of those who use my gear, I aim to update only what is truly necessary, creating a form that gains more trust as time goes by.

Quality is born from the relationships between creators.
I maintain face-to-face communication with factories and suppliers across Japan, choosing only the patterns that best utilize each of their strengths.
Rather than embellishing with grandiose words, I want to be as honest as possible about why a piece has its shape and the background behind its creation.

"Comfy" = "Comfortable"

The "Comfy Line" is a product line proposed by RIDGE MOUNTAIN GEAR that focuses specifically on comfort.
The material used is "Primeflex® × Dot Air® 2-Way Soccer Check" fabric. The 4-way stretch (vertical and horizontal elasticity) of this fabric fits flexibly to your body's movements, providing a relaxed fit.

Furthermore, its excellent water-absorbing, quick-drying, and breathable properties maintain comfort even during long hours of wear, and its lightweight design makes it easy to carry.
It is an item that is highly versatile, useful for everything from active daily life to relaxing outdoor scenes.

The "Comfy Line" pursues both ease of movement and coolness. We highly recommend this line for those seeking a comfortable fit, whether in the outdoors or in everyday life.

This features the basic 6-panel construction that has already become a staple for RIDGE MOUNTAIN GEAR.
In contrast to designs like cycling caps that are shallow with short brims, this cap has a loose, deep fit. We aimed for a brim length that is just right—long enough to provide sun protection without catching too much wind.

Before reaching this final design, I tried on various caps from outdoor manufacturers, but none of them felt deep enough for me to pull it securely down to the base of my ears.
In windy situations, I was always stressed, worrying if my cap would fly off.
This is because I have a larger head size, and this is not a criticism of those products.

COOLMAX® fabric is used for the sweatband.
This 100% polyester piqué-style material combines water-absorbing, quick-drying, and UV-cutting (UPF 40+) functions.

You can easily adjust the size by pulling the plastic tab at the back to tighten the elastic.
This adjustment feature improves the fit during wear and ensures a stable hold even in windy environments.
It proves particularly effective in outdoor scenes where strong winds are expected, such as on mountain summits or ridges.
