SOAK IN WATER is a belt specialist brand based in Kobe. Since its establishment in 2012, they have continued to produce belts by hand, one piece at a time.
The origins of the brand lie in an encounter with vintage British saddlery. The leather and brass hardware, worn and seasoned over many years, possessed a unique beauty and presence not found in new items.
"What kind of object becomes more delightful and endearing the longer it is used?"
Guided by this question, SOAK IN WATER utilizes vegetable-tanned leather and brass parts crafted using traditional methods.
Precisely because these materials are ill-suited for mass production, they develop a rich, unique patina that evolves based on the user and their environment.
To draw out the maximum charm of the materials, they have devised unique production methods, incorporating hand-craftsmanship into every detail, such as hand-stitching and manual thread twisting.
As you use it, the character deepens, and it begins to feel like a part of you.
SOAK IN WATER continues to propose products that grow along with you over time.
This belt can be customized with various colors and lengths by adding custom leather pieces and other parts (sold separately).
It is a free-size belt, fitting waist sizes up to approximately 100cm. (Adjustments can be made by removing body pieces to shorten it.)
With a matte texture and somewhat subdued colors, this belt pairs beautifully with mature outfits and heavy-duty pants alike.

The leather used for the body is a shoulder leather characterized by a scratched surface finish, manufactured by Virgilio Conceria Artigiana in the Ponte a Egola district of Tuscany, Italy.
The surface has a rough, matte feel due to the scratch processing, but as you use it, it will develop a gloss even greater than standard full-grain leather.
Being vegetable-tanned, dye-finished, and heavily oiled, this leather allows you to enjoy the aging process, as it develops a deeper, richer color and a natural luster the more you use it.
