SOAK IN WATER is a belt-specialized manufacturer based in Kobe. Since our founding in 2012, we have continued to craft each belt by hand, one piece at a time.

The brand’s origin lies in an encounter with antique British horse tack. The leather and brass hardware, weathered by the passage of time, possessed a unique beauty and presence that new items simply cannot match.

“What makes an object grow in character and become a cherished companion the longer you use it?”

Guided by this question, SOAK IN WATER utilizes traditional vegetable-tanned leather and brass parts. Because these materials are not suited for mass production, they develop a rich, unique patina that changes based on the user and their environment.

To draw out the maximum potential of our materials, we have developed our own manufacturing methods, incorporating craftsmanship into every detail, from hand-stitching to hand-twisting our own threads.

As you use it, it gains depth and character, eventually becoming a part of yourself.

SOAK IN WATER continues to propose products that grow along with you over time.

The Black Series features all materials—buckle, leather, and thread—finished in black.

This belt is inspired by the "NAVEL," where the buckle and leather are separated.

We use thick, high-quality Italian vegetable-tanned leather. Each piece of leather tanned this way has a slightly different character, allowing you to enjoy the raw, authentic charm of the hide.

The buckles for the Black Series are painted; the brass color will gradually reveal itself over time. Please enjoy this unique aging process.
