Nasngwam VICINITY S/S SHIRTS Black

Nasngwam launched in 2005. The designer draws inspiration from the 70s native, hippie, surf, and skate cultures that influenced them, updating these elements into contemporary designs. The brand continues to offer nostalgic yet fresh pieces that never lose a sense of playfulness.

 

"DEADSTOCK FABRIC SERIES"

We have received a summer shirt crafted from vintage deadstock fabric that exudes a fantastic atmosphere. The material is sheer, very lightweight, and breathable; it is not a print, but rather an intricate, high-quality jacquard weave. The orientation of the fabric is alternated between the left and right sides of the front, giving it a subtle native-inspired feel. With a straight hem, a wide body, and a slightly cropped length, it is perfect for summer and makes for a very stylish look.

Instead of a chest pocket, it features two pockets at the waist, which are highly practical and convenient. The buttons are luxurious shell buttons, intentionally used with the reverse side facing out to subtly reveal the natural character of the shell.

This summer shirt from Nasngwam is made using a characterful deadstock jacquard fabric.

By alternating the orientation of the fabric on the left and right sides of the front, it gives the shirt a unique and striking appearance despite being the same material. Although it is cotton, the fabric is very light and sheer, making this a highly recommended model for wearing in the middle of summer. I personally love the subtle native-inspired vibe it has.

 

While it has a loose, wide silhouette, the shorter length makes it easy for many people to wear. The two waist pockets instead of a chest pocket are also quite practical. With details like the reversed shell buttons, this is a meticulously crafted model that I highly recommend.
