Nasngwam ナスングワム GALAXY DENIM PANTS
Nasngwam was launched in 2005. Drawing inspiration from the designer’s own influences, including 1970s native, hippie, surf, and skate cultures, the brand creates products updated into forms that feel relevant today.
Nasngwam is a brand that continues to offer nostalgic yet fresh designs without losing its sense of playfulness.
Nasngwam’s Galaxy series was inspired by Levi’s “Galactic Jeans.”
At first glance, they may look as though paint has been splattered across them, but this effect is entirely created through an intricate discharge-processing technique.
Because the color has been removed from the fabric itself, there is none of the stiffness or uneven texture characteristic of paint, while retaining denim’s naturally soft and comfortable feel.
They are made from vintage Levi’s black jeans, carefully selected one by one, and remade into easy pants suited to modern styles.
The elastic at the back of the waist and the drawstring allow you to wear them comfortably without a belt.
The hems feature a just-length design, with the original vintage “whiskers” expertly transferred and incorporated.
Making use of the subdued character of black jeans, Nasngwam has created these distinctive new jeans featuring a starry sky rendered using a discharge-printing technique.

I love classic jeans that let you enjoy the way they fade, but whenever I find a slightly unusual pair like these, I can’t help wanting them.
The GALAXY DENIM PANTS are exactly that kind of pair.
Because they are based on vintage black jeans, the original character of the fabric is excellent. Adding a distinctive, starry-sky-like pattern gives them an entirely different look from ordinary denim.
What I personally like is that, despite the design having such a strong presence, it is surprisingly easy to pair with everyday clothes.
Since they are based on black denim, they look great even with just a white T-shirt or plain sweatshirt, and I think they pair exceptionally well with a slightly worn flannel shirt or military jacket.
Pants with a pattern may seem a little difficult to style, but in practice, you can simply think of them as replacing your usual jeans.
Another nice feature is the easy-fit waist.
