Nasngwam began in 2005. Drawing inspiration from the designer's own influences, including 1970s Native, hippie, surf, and skate cultures, the brand creates products updated into forms that resonate today.
The brand continues to offer nostalgic yet fresh designs without ever losing its sense of playfulness.
Nasngwam's Galaxy series was born from inspiration drawn from Levi's "Galactic Jeans."
Different techniques, such as dyeing and discharge printing, are used on each individual piece to create a detailed pattern reminiscent of a galaxy.
It has an impactful appearance at first glance, but once worn, it blends in effortlessly and has a truly appealing character.
The fabric is a lightweight French terry sweatshirt rather than fleece-backed, so you can wear it from this time of year with the feel of a long-sleeve T-shirt.
The relaxed width and shorter length create a clean, easy-to-wear look.

At first glance, the pattern looks quite distinctive, but once you actually wear it, it blends in surprisingly naturally. It has a presence that a plain sweatshirt lacks without ever being too flashy. This exquisite balance is really appealing.
What I personally like is the balance between the relaxed width and shorter length. Although it feels like wearing an ordinary sweatshirt, it adds a subtle change to the silhouette and makes familiar outfits feel fresh.
The fabric is a lightweight French terry that is not too thick, so it is easy to wear casually, much like a long-sleeve T-shirt. Wear it on its own in early autumn, then as a jacket layer once it gets colder, and enjoy it well into early spring.
Personally, I like wearing it casually with faded denim or chinos. Since the pattern has a strong presence, it looks great with simple clothing elsewhere.
I am 175 cm tall and weigh 75 kg, and I am wearing size L. There is plenty of room across the chest, but because the length is not too long, it pairs well with wider pants.
The fact that this pattern is expressed using different techniques on each individual piece is another interesting detail that feels very Nasngwam.
Basic clothing is of course important, but I feel that adding just one slightly playful piece like this makes choosing what to wear every day even more enjoyable.
This is a piece I especially recommend for those who love sweatshirts.
