We are releasing a collaboration item with [CHAORAS], a brand known for its innovative sports tenugui towels. CHAORAS honors the traditional benefits of the Japanese "tenugui" while adapting them for the modern outdoor sports scene.
The "tenugui" is a traditional Japanese household item. By changing the material from 100% cotton to a blend of 50% cotton and 50% bamboo rayon, it has become softer and quicker to dry. We have increased the length from the conventional 90cm to 110cm, making it easy to wrap around the neck or head. Woven slowly on vintage shuttle looms, the fabric is not stressed, resulting in a soft texture. Although production volume is limited, the result is a durable and supple finish.
It is less bulky than a towel, dries quickly, and is highly absorbent. Because it dries instantly even when wet, it is perfect for everyday use as well as for outdoor and sports activities.
