The brand name "melple" is a coined term derived from "mellow people."
It refers to people who live rich lifestyles, inspired by the mellow and relaxed atmosphere of California.
Influenced by such culture, we propose a "Modern Vintage Style" that feeds that aesthetic back into our craftsmanship.
Rather than simply reproducing archives from the past, we propose ever-changing culture and styles in a way that is distinctly "melple."

A resort jacket featuring an aloha print designed with intertwined Ti leaves and leis.
Although I visit Hawaii often, I hadn't bought or worn any aloha shirts for a while because I was tired of the typical short-sleeved versions, so I made this using aloha fabric sourced directly from a Hawaiian textile manufacturer.
In the 1960s, Reyn Spooner introduced "reverse print," a technique using the fabric inside-out that was quite innovative at the time; I personally prefer those subdued tones, so I have adopted the reverse print for this jacket as well.
This two-button jacket features a comfortably relaxed fit with an exquisite silhouette, and by omitting sleeve plackets and vents, I want you to wear it casually, much like a cardigan.
The slightly classic, wider lapels and soft-looking chest patch pocket create a relaxed vibe. Brown mother-of-pearl front buttons add a sophisticated accent with their subtle luster.
It works perfectly as a setup, but it will also add a touch of flair when coordinated with casual items like denim.
