HIGHER HT26042 PARAFFIN CANVAS RAIDERS HAT
HIGHER is based in southwestern Okayama Prefecture, a region known for hat-making. The brand was named “HIGHER” to express its constant drive to improve and aim ever higher, never settling for its current level of skill or quality. Committed to being MADE IN JAPAN, each product is carefully handcrafted, making the most of the meticulous attention to detail characteristic of Japanese craftsmanship.
Made from thick, high-density No. 10 canvas with a paraffin finish, the same kind used for tents and boat sails. Paraffin fabric is made by melting solid paraffin, also used in candles and crayons, and impregnating the material with it. This gives the fabric water resistance, a firmer feel, and shape retention. Making the most of its sturdy texture, this hat offers a fresh take on the Raiders hat.
The classic crown, reminiscent of a fedora, is paired with a wide, flat brim to create a rugged, mature look. With wear, you can enjoy the distinctive texture of paraffin-treated fabric, its tacky feel and chalk marks, as well as the natural leather band, which gradually ages to a rich amber color.

Personally, I’m really drawn to hats with a bit of an edge like this one.
The unique silhouette pairs a classic, fedora-like crown with a wide, flat brim. Its rugged, masculine appeal sets it apart from an ordinary hat.
It’s made from thick No. 10 canvas with a paraffin finish. The fabric has a sturdy feel, and I’m looking forward to the creases and wear marks that will develop with use.
Another special detail is the natural leather band, which will gradually turn a rich amber color.
Personally, I’d wear this with an old denim jacket, military wear, or a leather jacket.
