HIGHER is based in the southwestern part of Okayama Prefecture, a region known for hat production. The name "HIGHER" reflects their ambition to "always aim higher," never settling for current standards of quality or technique. They take pride in their "MADE IN JAPAN" philosophy, leveraging Japanese attention to detail to carefully craft each product by hand.

Made from 12oz selvedge denim, which is prized for the slightly relaxed texture and rustic "slub" feel (the uneven, textured appearance created by yarns of varying thickness) that only vintage shuttle looms can produce. Accented with heavy orange stitching for a sophisticated vintage look. Combined with a washable leather brim and top button to create a retro, classic aesthetic. A new black leather version has been added starting this season.
The generous crown allows you to shift the center of gravity as you like, making it versatile for many different styles. A velcro adjuster is hidden inside the sweatband for a custom fit.
