A premium moleskin jacket representing the brand
The French moleskin jacket that represents F.O.B FACTORY.
It is made from original extra-thick moleskin fabric woven at high density, with the nap density raised to the maximum.
The fabric has a luster like the finest nubuck leather, while the details are based on French work jackets from the 1950s.
Moleskin used in French workwear was commonly used for French work jackets from the 1800s through around the 1950s, and is characterized by its luster and lightly napped surface.
At the time, it was also favored by coal miners as durable workwear.
One theory is that, because it was favored by coal miners, it came to be called moleskin after the "mole's skin" of an animal that burrows underground.

This is the kind of jacket you'll want to wear for years, regardless of trends.
It has the ruggedness of a classic work jacket, yet once you put it on, you also get a surprising sense of refinement. The texture of this moleskin fabric is especially wonderful; despite its substantial weight, it gradually conforms to your body the more you wear it, which is another part of the appeal.
I usually choose size 3, but this one runs slightly small, so I am wearing size 4. Allowing a little extra room created the balance I prefer, making it easy to wear not only with shirts but also with sweatshirts.
It looks great simply thrown over denim or military pants, and I also recommend pairing it with slightly dressier trousers.
This is not a garment whose finished form is determined when it is new; instead, you can look forward to how it will be after five or ten years of continued wear. Clothing like that deserves a place in your wardrobe.
