The brand's signature premium moleskin jacket
The French moleskin jacket that represents F.O.B FACTORY.
It is made from our original extra-thick moleskin fabric, densely woven with the nap raised to its maximum density.
The fabric has a sheen reminiscent of the finest nubuck leather, while the details are based on French work jackets from the 1950s.
Moleskin used in French workwear was commonly used for French work jackets from the 1800s through around the 1950s, and is characterized by its sheen and subtly napped surface.
At the time, it was also widely worn by coal miners as durable workwear.
Because it was favored by coal miners, one theory holds that it was named after the underground-dwelling mole's skin.

Jackets like this are the kind you want to keep wearing for years, regardless of trends.
They have the ruggedness you'd expect from a traditional work jacket, yet once you put one on, they somehow also feel refined. The texture of this moleskin is especially excellent. Despite its substantial weight, it is something to look forward to seeing mold to your body the more you wear it.
I usually choose size 3, but this one runs slightly small, so I am wearing size 4. The extra room creates the balance I prefer, allowing me to wear not only a shirt but also a sweatshirt underneath comfortably.
It looks great simply thrown over denim or military trousers, and I also recommend pairing it with slightly dressier pants.
It is not a garment whose finished form is defined when new; instead, you look forward to where it will be after five or ten years of continued wear. Clothes like that are exactly what I hope you will add to your wardrobe.
