A word from our staff
Ichimura / 175 cm / 75 kg / wearing size 40

I’ve always loved denim jackets, but no matter how many I own, I still find myself wanting another one.
I’m especially drawn to pieces that retain such a strong vintage feel.
FOB Factory’s SELVEDGE GARAGE DENIM JACKET is based on what’s known as a “wartime model,” which emerged from material controls during World War II.
Denim jackets from this era have simplified details that were originally intended to conserve resources, but these ended up giving them a distinctive ruggedness.
Personally, I find wartime models especially appealing, including for their historical background.
This model is also packed with details vintage enthusiasts will love, such as the rivets securing the front pleats and the laurel-pattern donut buttons.
Best of all, it’s made from original 14.75 oz. selvedge denim.
It has a substantial weight and presence, and you can feel FOB Factory’s attention to detail in the fact that it’s sewn entirely with cotton thread.
Cotton thread changes along with the fabric as it’s worn and washed, so I’m really looking forward to how it’ll look after years of wear.
The silhouette is boxy, true to the wartime model.
The length is relatively short and the body has a comfortable amount of room, so it pairs perfectly with loose-fitting jeans, chinos, and military trousers.
Personally, I like wearing it with faded denim for a slightly rugged look.
Of course, I think it also looks great paired with slacks or smart trousers for a slightly more refined look.
For reference, I’m 175 cm tall, weigh 75 kg, and wear size 40.
And the best part of this jacket is, as always, seeing how it ages from here on.
Its deep indigo color is appealing when new, but after years of wear, when natural fades develop on the sleeves and body and the color gradually lightens, I’m sure it’ll look even better than it does now.
Personally, I don’t think a denim jacket is at its best when it’s brand new.
You wear it again and again in your daily life, letting it become part of you.
By continuing to wear it for five or ten years, it eventually becomes a piece that’s uniquely yours.
I think this denim jacket makes you enjoy your relationship with clothes all over again.
