B.T.R. Behind The River × A16 Pack Kit Shirt

INSPIRE is the distributor bringing various items to Japan, such as souvenirs like T-shirts and caps from "City Lights Bookstore," which continues to build a solid fan base in our shop, as well as handcrafted rug vests and embroidered jackets from "OAXACA," and items from "Tom Killion."
I personally love this genre, and I always look forward to hearing local stories and talking about fishing whenever I visit their exhibitions.

 

From "INSPIRE" comes a new original label: "B.T.R = Behind The River."
With the concept of "flowing without being swept away," they create products based on their experience, pursuing the things they love in a place that flows slowly, slightly removed from the center of trends and the main current.

 

A collaboration shirt between "Behind the River" and "A16 = adventure 16." Established in San Diego in 1962, the legendary shop adventure 16 supported the early days of the California backpacking and outdoor scene, and even produced its own tents, backpacks, and other gear.
It is even featured in the renowned "Whole Earth Catalog."
In the 1970s, it began selling brands like Patagonia, The North Face, and Sierra Designs, and is known as a shop that helped spread outdoor culture in America.

For this shirt, they created an original fabric by printing full-scale patterns used to make adventure 16's iconic backpacks directly onto the material. The result is a piece crafted with meticulous attention to detail. This isn't just a piece of clothing; it's a shirt packed with thoughtfulness that extends to its very background.

The base design is a wool board shirt from the long-established Portland brand, "Pendleton." While adjusting fine details like the sizing, it was important not to refine it too much so as to retain the great feel of an imported item.
