About the brand and product
60's VINTAGE GOGGLES STANDARD MODEL
The Japanese goggle industry dates back to the late 1930s, when dust-proof glasses and aviation goggles were supplied to the military.
Production expanded to include protective eyewear in the 1940s. Around that time, demand for outdoor goggles for activities like skiing, as well as motorsports goggles, surged in the West, and that wave eventually reached Japan.
GREASER 60’s VINTAGE GOGGLES are a true product of that era.
They are manufactured entirely in Japan, from injection molding to final assembly, in one of the very few remaining domestic factories. All parts are, of course, also made in Japan.
Production is essentially a cottage industry, having lost most of its market share to inexpensive overseas products. However, these goggles, crafted by skilled artisans who have dedicated their lives to this trade, are truly worthy of the name "VINTAGE GOGGLES."
The top of the frame features ventilation holes to prevent fogging.
The lenses are made of polycarbonate, and two types are included: clear and light smoke.
You can switch between them depending on the weather and time of day. Lenses can also be easily changed by unsnapping the three snap buttons.
Because they are adjustable, they can be paired with a wide range of helmets.
As long as the frames aren't exceptionally thick, you can wear them over your eyeglasses.
The STANDARD 3/5 inch model has a strap width of approximately 15mm, making it the perfect size for use with the goggle strap loops on open-face helmets.
