I’ve always loved vintage mohair cardigans, but this new TOWN CRAFT piece has a slightly different appeal.
Made from the same long-pile shaggy knit as the classic jacquard cardigan.
It retains its soft, distinctive texture and its 60s-70s vintage-inspired feel, while this version features a crew neck and zip-up design.
Personally, I find this design really fresh and love it.
Unlike a standard V-neck cardigan, it has a feel that lets you throw it on much like a blouson.
Another feature worth noting is the silhouette.
It has plenty of room through the body, while the length is shorter than a classic cardigan.
The balance is really good: it feels relaxed to wear, yet falls beautifully when you put it on.
I think it pairs especially well with wide-leg denim, chinos, and military pants.
Personally, I’d wear it casually with faded denim and a simple T-shirt, leaving the zip slightly open.
Of course, you can zip it all the way up and wear it like a knit blouson.
Clothes like this are great because they have a strong vintage feel while still offering a silhouette that feels right for today.
