FERNAND LEATHER began in the 1980s when Steve Fernand established the current FERNAND LEATHER workshop to handle production for Aurora Shoe Co. in New York.

Today, the brand no longer produces Aurora shoes and focuses solely on its own "FERNAND LEATHER" line. Every pair is handcrafted by skilled artisans in their Michigan workshop.

Steve Fernand’s simple, natural designs are crafted with an eye toward how they will look when worn in. With a commitment to handmade quality and the use of fine materials, each pair is meticulously finished.
