SOAK IN WATER is a Kobe-based belt specialty manufacturer. Since its establishment in 2012, they have continued to produce belts by hand, one piece at a time.
The brand's origin lies in an encounter with vintage British horse tack. The leather and brass fittings, worn in over many years, possessed a unique beauty and presence not found in new items.
"What kind of product grows more appealing and becomes something we grow attached to the longer we use it?"
Guided by this question, SOAK IN WATER utilizes vegetable-tanned leather and brass parts made using traditional methods.
Because these materials are not suited for mass production, they develop a rich, unique patina that varies depending on the user and the environment.
To draw out the maximum appeal of the materials, they have devised their own unique manufacturing processes, incorporating handcraft into every detail, including hand-stitching and the manual twisting of thread.
The more you use it, the more character it gains, eventually feeling like a part of yourself.
SOAK IN WATER continues to offer products that grow with time.
The size is one-size-fits-all, accommodating waist sizes up to approximately 100cm. (It can be adjusted by removing individual segments of the belt.)

The leather used for the main body is Chromexcel, a world-renowned luxury oiled leather (cowhide) produced for over 100 years by the long-established Chicago-based tannery, Horween Leather Company, using traditional methods.
