BRAND & PRODUCT

The brand launched as “cable” in spring/summer 2008 and changed its name to “cableami” in spring/summer 2013.

Derived from Aran's traditional cable-knit patterns, “ami” has two meanings: the Japanese word for knitting and the French word for friend.

Its name embodies two ideas: creating pieces by interweaving various elements one by one, like a cable pattern, and making hats that are cherished like friends.
