The brand name "melple" is a portmanteau of "mellow people."
It represents the mellow, laid-back atmosphere of California and the people who lead rich, fulfilling lifestyles.
Influenced by this culture, we propose a "Modern Vintage Style" that reflects those values in our craftsmanship.

Rather than simply recreating historical archives, we offer a unique interpretation of ever-evolving cultures and styles, true to the melple identity.

This series revives T-shirts originally released when the brand launched in 2003.
Instead of heavyweight fabric, these tees are made from a mellow, relaxed 32/- cotton and feature a seamless tubular knit construction.
I was born in 1976, the year of America’s bicentennial. As I’ll be turning 50 in 2026, I created this piece just for fun.
I am filled with gratitude for all the people I have met and who have supported me along the way.
The design, inspired by vintage American typography, feels just right.
