WAREHOUSE Lot 5200 DENIM ARMY HAT

Since its founding in 1995, WAREHOUSE has pursued the theme of faithful reproduction of vintage clothing. We examine the historical background of each vintage piece we encounter, meticulously researching everything from the threads and fabrics to the stitching and washing processes to recreate it.
WAREHOUSE clothing is not a "designer brand."
Just as the names of the designers who created workwear and daily wear back in the day were not recorded, we believe that the charm of our clothing lies precisely in the anonymity of its creation.

This is an army-style hat, also known as a daisy hat or full-brim hat.
Its distinctive four-panel construction features eyelets for ventilation.
The countless rows of stitching on the brim will develop a unique "fade" (atari) through repeated washing.
Rather than using a factory specializing in headwear, we intentionally produced this in a factory that manufactures workwear to recreate the authentic craftsmanship of the era.

Often referred to as the denim army hat, this item was designed to accompany denim army uniforms. Adopted in the 1930s, it was primarily used as workwear. When the Army discontinued the use of denim fabric before the war, existing stock was repurposed for use by prisoners of war.
