RIDGE MOUNTAIN GEAR is a manufacturer that creates tools for spending time in the mountains and for simplifying the days leading up to those trips.

We first created the "Basic Cap" in 2019. Since then, we have happily been able to reproduce it time and time again, and it is now positioned as one of RIDGE MOUNTAIN GEAR's signature products.

"In commemoration of Nicetime Mountain Gallery's 5th anniversary in July 2023, we would like you to produce a special version of RIDGE MOUNTAIN GEAR's caps," we were asked.
They also requested that we use "COOL DOTS®," the material used in our "Basic Long Sleeve Shirt," for the production.

The main body of the cap uses Toray's Stunner®, a 100% nylon material that is water-repellent, windproof, and breathable.
It protects against rain and wind while preventing discomfort from perspiration, and also features excellent durable water repellency.

This product uses COOL DOTS®, which offers 4-way stretch (vertical and horizontal stretch).
COOL DOTS® is a high-performance material developed by Komatsu Matere Co., Ltd. that is made of 100% polyester with countless micro-pores, providing excellent stretch and breathability.

We achieved superior breathability through a weaving method that creates countless microscopic pores.
It maintains high air permeability from inside the shirt while suppressing transparency when worn.

"Stretch and Lightweight"
By using two types of special stretch yarns with different shrinkage rates, we have achieved high 360° all-directional stretch. It is not only lightweight at 104g/㎡, but also highly wrinkle-resistant.
Even if it is stuffed into a backpack pocket and becomes crumpled, it recovers its shape immediately.

"Environmental Consideration"
Plant-derived yarn, LYCRA® T400® fiber, is used for a portion of the stretch yarn.

Walking on high-altitude ridges in summer. I was bothered by sunburn on my ears.
With a normal cap, my ears were exposed, so I couldn't cover them from sunburn.

After walking on ridges with good weather for several days, the sunburn on the edges of my ears would bother me, and the skin would peel every time I came down from the mountain.

The most distinctive feature of this hat is the shape of the brim.
While a normal hat's brim opens evenly, this "Enough Hat" has its brim opening adjusted at three points: front, sides, and back.

The front side has a curve like the visor of a cap.
The sides are opened just enough to cover the ears.
The back is set shorter so that it doesn't open too wide and is not affected by the wind.

Being able to wear it in several ways is also a feature.
When there is less sun or if you want to ensure a wide view ahead, you can lift the front side of the brim.

By lifting the back of the brim, you can also wear it with the atmosphere of a cap or a Tyrolean hat.
COOLMAX® fabric is used for the sweatband.

It is a 100% polyester pique material that combines water absorption, quick-drying properties, and UV protection (UPF 40+).

If the product size is larger than your head size, or in situations where it is easily affected by wind, you can adjust the size by pulling the plastic tab at the back to tighten the elastic.
