SUNNY SIDE UP is a brand based in Okayama where the designer personally handles everything from planning and design to remake sewing.
They create stylish items remade for the modern era by maximizing the appeal of old clothes and vintage finds.
These items, which can only be created by someone with exceptional taste, radiate a unique, one-of-a-kind presence.

 

Based on used painter pants, this model is a highly elaborate piece created through a unique process.

The waistband is disassembled and reconstructed with tucks to create a beautifully balanced silhouette.

Furthermore, it features a double-knee construction using duck fabric sourced from other individual garments, with intentional damage applied only to that specific fabric.

It is a tasteful pair of pants that combines a wide silhouette with an excellent sense of balance.

Since the original painter pants used are vintage, they have a soft, lived-in feel from the start—a quality that cannot be replicated in new products.

Each piece is one-of-a-kind, making this a truly special model where no two are exactly alike.

I am wearing a different individual pair in size 4, so please use this as a reference for the silhouette.

Each pair is handcrafted by disassembling the waist of oversized vintage painter pants and adding tucks to balance them into a clean silhouette.

The labor-intensive process, such as creating the double-knee construction and applying damage, is all done by hand.

Every piece is unique and highly rare.

If you find one in your size, I highly recommend picking it up; it's a magnificent model.
