SANDERS 1128B MILITARY DERBY SHOE
Sanders is a prestigious British footwear brand founded in 1873 in Rushden, Northamptonshire, England.
Most of the leather shoes supplied to the UK Ministry of Defence (MOD) are made by Sanders, and about 50% of the factory is dedicated to their production.
As a result, the brand can make traditional “Made in England” shoes at a lower production cost than other Northampton manufacturers, even while using similar construction methods and natural materials, offering excellent value.
Today, with over 90 craftspeople, Sanders produces shoes for prestigious brands such as Gieves & Hawkes, Marcel Lassance, A.P.C., and Ralph Lauren, while also focusing on its own original SANDERS line.
By refining traditional Goodyear-welted shoes, which can be stiff, heavy, and sometimes rugged in appearance, the brand creates practical shoes that look classic but feel light, soft, and comfortable to wear.

The toe cap and quarters feature three distinctive rows of stitching, known as Puritan stitching, made with a now-rare three-needle sewing machine.
The heel is adorned with a crown mark, a detail exclusive to British footwear.
DERBY refers to shoes with an open lacing system, where the quarters are attached over the vamp.
The quarters open wide, making the shoes easy to put on and take off.
The upper is made of polished leather. It has a glossy finish, resists scratches and dirt, and is relatively rain-resistant.
After brushing, polish with a soft cloth lightly dampened with water to maintain the shine. They’re easy to care for, making them a great choice for anyone wearing leather shoes for the first time.
