"Bark outsiders" is a brand created by an individual who loves authentic, vintage, and traditional items, and it is aimed at those who live outside the box and want to be selective about every single item they own.

To live freely and lightly, we only need a few minimal, simple, and essential things. We propose items that combine the essential materials and craftsmanship rooted in Japanese manufacturing with the atmosphere of authentic goods. We want to offer universal items that—like vintage pieces—"enrich the heart" and are "a bit inconvenient, but can be used forever with affection."

Having worked in the fashion industry, I often found myself wanting items that matched my style, yet couldn't quite find them... That is why I started this brand with the feeling of making necessary tools rather than just fashion. Furthermore, the number of Japanese materials and factories with high technical skills is decreasing year by year, and I deeply value products that respect their craftsmanship. Nothing would make me happier than for you to experience the attention to detail when you hold these pieces in your hands.

【BLUE LINES TOTE 80's】 "A utilitarian tote infused with the spirit of the 1980s." This product reproduces the unique atmosphere of 1980s canvas totes by leveraging Japanese production backgrounds.
Such vintage totes radiate a charm exclusive to the era, woven from the form of narrow short handles, blue lines on the sides, and a body slightly taller than current models.

I realized that vintage totes were becoming harder to buy every year, so I decided to make them in Japan. I had the fabric custom-woven by a long-established canvas manufacturer and thoroughly reproduced the specific tote I own.
To reach this finished product, I disassembled the fabric of period-correct canvas totes down to the individual threads to study how they were made. While I couldn't perfectly reproduce the stiffness of that original fabric, I was able to match the number of twisted threads and get very close to the original.

This is an all-made-in-Japan product unique to me, someone who loves vintage and is well-versed in denim apparel!
