VULCAIN The factory brand "VULCAIN" primarily produced workwear for state-owned enterprises and the private sector between the 1940s and 1960s. Production took place in Lyon, France, which was the largest textile industrial zone in Europe at the time. Known for their ruggedness and superior durability in materials and construction, many of their signature items, such as moleskin jackets and pants, are popular collector's items in the vintage market. We have collected archival pieces from VULCAIN and are releasing items that update those distinct characteristics for the modern day.
This model is an update of the French-Chinese jacket that was originally produced for Chinese immigrants living in France at the time. With its rounded collar and distinctive Chinese-style buttons, it has a fantastic atmosphere. The front pockets feature French workwear specifications, and it includes one inner pocket, making it a highly practical model. Made from lightweight cotton broadcloth, it is perfect for wearing from early spring onwards, and can be worn for a long season just like a shirt.
