About the brand and product

IMPRESTORE Flannel Hooded Shirt / Springsteen (Navy×Brown)
The brand name IMPRESTORE | What is IMPRESTORE?
< IMPROVE = to evolve > and < RESTORE = to repair > are combined to form a coined word.
Based on the rugged, laid-back style of American vintage, we repair and reconstruct it to suit today’s tastes, evolving it into [ SEMI-STANDARD WEAR | We continue to offer Semi-Standard Wear.
What is Semi-Standard Wear?Daily wear for fashion lovers, full of thoughtful details and playful touches, with a distinctive appeal.
I love vintage printed flannel. I love its softer feel compared to regular woven flannel, and the worn-in look you get from a print. But it’s hard to find one with just the right pattern, size, and condition.
So we decided to make it ourselves, and this year we created printed flannel fabric with an original IMPRESTORE check pattern.
And this season, there are two patterns!

First up: BROWN × NAVY.
We wanted to realistically capture the characteristic waviness and wear of vintage patterns, right down to the worn-away print, so we recreated every thread in the checks as a graphic. We kept layering and adjusting…and before we knew it, there were 30 layers!
And the other colorway is GREEN × RED.
To reproduce even the way threads overlap and run in different directions in a woven fabric, we drew each thread one by one and kept adjusting their direction.
Both are graphics we poured our hearts into, created through processes that even made us think we were a little crazy. Haha.

The pattern and fading look so realistic, you’d hardly recognize it as printed flannel at first glance.
The result is so good that even vintage shop owners have said, “You’d never know it wasn’t deadstock from that era.” And it’s not just the look; the comfort is another thing I love about printed flannel.
100% cotton, lightweight and not bulky, yet still nice and warm.
We went to a lot of trouble again this year, but it paid off: we made some great fabric.
Using this original printed flannel, we made a hooded flannel shirt that took the mid-2000s by storm.
Back then, hooded flannels with heather gray hoods were the norm. This time, we chose hood colors to suit the tones of each check. Rather than looking like “a hood was added later,” the colors blend naturally with the checks, which works really well.

And we added a little twist to the buttons, too!
We sampled a vintage BIG YANK and made our own original die-cast buttons.
The classic buttons go perfectly with the faded pattern of the printed flannel. It’s a hooded flannel from the mid-2000s, but it could easily pass for a vintage piece from much earlier.
It turned out to be a wonderfully unusual shirt that’s hard to place in any particular era. The balance is just right.
Definitely!

※Due to the manufacturing process, the print on the lining may appear blurred. This does not affect the quality of the product. Thank you for your understanding.

The slightly faded check pattern has a wonderful feel, reminiscent of vintage printed flannel. Personally, I really like the combination of this vintage look and the hood.
I’m wearing a size 40. There’s plenty of room across the chest, giving it a relaxed silhouette. The fabric is lightweight and not too thick, so it could be fun to wear as a light layer rather than as a shirt.
It pairs beautifully with faded denim and military pants, of course, but it also makes a statement with simple pants.
It’s fun how it has a nostalgic 2000s feel, yet still feels natural to wear today.
This is a piece we hope you’ll wear effortlessly as part of your everyday outfits, without overthinking it.
