Established in 1965, Toyo Enterprise boasts the longest history of any Japanese apparel manufacturer. HEADLIGHT is an authentic reproduction brand produced by Toyo Enterprise.
"HEADLIGHT" A brand by Larned Carter & Co., which started in the early 1900s and existed until the 1960s. Rare for the time, the company handled everything from weaving to sewing in-house, demonstrating their dedication to their products. As the trademark on their labels and flashers suggests, the brand was favored and supplied to railroad workers and engineers. We bring back to life these rare items, which are still highly popular among collectors today and considered difficult to obtain.
By analyzing a deadstock all-in-one piece made by Headlight in the 1930s-40s, we have created a very unique herringbone twill with randomly arranged twill of different pitches.
The style is a sleeved vest type, rarely seen from other manufacturers, and is based on a particularly rare specimen produced after the war with five buttons and flaps.
