This pair perfectly embodies the "MODERN VINTAGE" style that BROTHER BRIDGE champions.

Based on 1920s athletic shoes

The HENRY is based on athletic shoes from around the 1920s.

It takes that classic sporty design and adds the refinement of British footwear for a modern finish.

The model name, "HENRY," is named after the great British boxer Henry Cooper.

Sporty, yet classic.

Not as rugged as work boots,
and not as formal as dress shoes.

That exquisite balance is the true charm of the HENRY.

VINTAGE BLK/CALF

There are countless shades of "black" in the world.

What BROTHER BRIDGE aimed for was not just a beautiful black, but a black that gains character and can be "raised" as you wear it in.

The HENRY uses calf leather, characterized by its fine, dense grain.

The raw hides are sourced from the Pyrenees, a region known for high-quality raw materials, where the cattle are raised in a pristine environment with pure water.

These hides are then carefully tanned using original recipes by a long-established tannery in Himeji.

Selected raw hides are vegetable-tanned and finished with oil dyes.

This process preserves the natural character of the material, resulting in leather that grows more lustrous and deep in color the more you wear it.

In its new state, the leather has a delicate texture and an elegant luster.

As you break them in, creases will form according to the shape of your feet, and the sheen will gradually intensify.

The interesting part is that the way the creases form and the luster develops will differ from person to person.

Even with the same HENRY model, each pair will take on a unique character over time.

Goodyear welt construction for a long-lasting partnership

They feature Goodyear welt construction.

While the construction is robust, the finish maintains the elegant atmosphere of the HENRY.

The ability to resole them—a key feature of Goodyear welt construction—is a welcome advantage for long-term wear.

They are built on a solid foundation, designed to stay with you for a long time.

It’s interesting precisely because it’s "not perfect yet"

When Mr. Suzuki, the representative of BROTHER BRIDGE, is helping customers, he often says:

"The leather shoes sitting here in the store aren't at 100% yet. They are made so that after you buy them, they become 120% or 200% based on how you wear them!"

I think this quote perfectly captures the essence of the HENRY shoes.
