Now then, for my day off yesterday, I went to the mountains for the first time in a while.

Actually, ever since the decision was made to open PATHLOW at the end of last year, I've been working almost without a break, so it had been over half a year since I had a proper day off.

I had put my beloved hiking and fishing on hold, so this was truly a long-awaited break.

That's why I went to Mount Maekake, which I've wanted to visit for a long time.

You can only climb it when the volcanic alert level is at 1, so I figured I should go now, as you never know when it might become inaccessible.

As it turned out, I was blessed with great weather, making for a very satisfying hike.

Mount Asama is clearly visible from Maebashi on sunny days.

Seeing it up close was so impressive (the photo doesn't really capture how amazing it was...).

You could see volcanic smoke rising from Mount Asama's crater (the mountain's summit).

From the very start of the ascent, the trail is full of variety, making it a mountain you never get tired of climbing.

It had been a long time since I'd done a serious hike, but that time spent walking with a completely empty mind feels truly wonderful.

Since I came all the way to Nagano, I had some soba noodles on the way back.

This was also my first time visiting this restaurant, and it was delicious and wonderful.

I was lucky to have a friend join me for my day off, making it a very enjoyable holiday.

Now, let's get down to business.

COLIMBO ZB-0314 MODEST OPEN COLLAR SHIRT "LEOPARD PATTERN"

 

Over the last few days, we have received a batch of recommended items from COLIMBO.

This is a brand I personally love, and these new arrivals are truly excellent once again.

First up is this leopard shirt.

It features a leopard pattern reminiscent of the 50s.

It has a mature and just-the-right-amount-of-allure finish, evoking the rock 'n' roll and counterculture of that era.

While simple, it has the presence to be the centerpiece of your styling.

The material is a thin yet firm cotton fabric, a ripstop cross that provides solid durability. As the leopard pattern is worn and washed repeatedly, it will gradually scuff and develop a great atmosphere.

With high-quality black nut buttons, rounded chest pockets, and action pleats on the back for ease of movement, this is a perfect model for summer. I'm really looking forward to how it ages over the next few years.

I always think that shirts like this are exactly what adults should choose!

COLIMBO ZB-0211 TRENCH DIGGER USMC P-44 TROUSERS CIVILIAN WHITE

 

The design is based on the "P-44," commonly known as "monkey pants," which were adopted by the USMC (United States Marine Corps).

These pants were supplied to the USMC for only one year, between 1944 and 1945, towards the end of World War II.

With a short adoption period of less than a year and their unique shape, they are a masterpiece of military pants that are still talked about to this day.

The shape of the large pockets on the seat is the origin of their name.

The material used is a very thick, unbleached herringbone.

Compared to the original olive model, it has a cool, fresh finish that makes you want to wear it in the coming season.

The black buttons also seem likely to age well little by little.

For these, I went with a classic style, pairing them with a denim jacket.

The slightly tapered silhouette is great, the design unique to monkey pants is great, and they really are cool pants, aren't they?

This is a masterpiece I really want you to get your hands on.

It's amazing how a slight difference in design or material can create such a completely different atmosphere, isn't it?
