This season's top pick: "GOODWEAR HAND PAINT POCKET T"

A few days ago, we finally managed to successfully open our new store, PATHLOW.
We had many people visit us, and we were able to finish our first three days of business on a busy note.

Since we opened safely, I performed the daruma doll eye-painting ceremony!
This is standard practice in Gunma, but when I really think about it, is this something they don't do in other regions?
Maybe it’s a "Gunma thing"? (Haha)
If you ever come to Gunma, I think buying a daruma in Takasaki to take home is a great idea!
Now, let’s move on to today’s main topic!
This is a ringer-style pocket T-shirt from Goodwear that I have been really looking forward to this year.
Ringer-style? Many of you might be wondering.
As you can see, the neck and sleeves are hand-painted.
There is a color unevenness, almost like it was applied with a brush, and every single piece is unique.
It’s really interesting, isn't it?
Did anyone look at this and think "Wait a minute?"
If so, you are quite the fashion enthusiast.
Actually, this is based on a T-shirt released by Ralph Lauren in 1992.
In August 1992, Hurricane Andrew struck Florida, causing what was then the largest disaster in U.S. history, with estimated damages of $26.5 billion.
Ralph Lauren stepped up to the crisis and created this charity T-shirt.
The "FLORIDA" on the front was hand-printed using silk screens.
And just like this Goodwear version, the neck and sleeves were hand-painted.
At the time, it was a legendary piece that wasn't officially sold in Japan and was impossible to get.
It seems to be fetching a crazy price these days.
This model was created as an homage to that very T-shirt.
For that reason, I was personally very much looking forward to this pocket T-shirt!
The material remains the same as always—a heavy 7.2oz T-shirt using American cotton with a rough, dry-touch feel.
It’s worth wearing in, and if you wear it normally, it will easily last you about 10 years.
I’m sure you’re curious about the sizing, so I tried it on.
I am 175cm tall and am wearing the XL size in pink.
It’s quite loose and large, but for summer, this kind of fit feels great, doesn't it?
A larger size allows for good airflow, so it’s very cool to wear.
I personally really like this pink color, as it’s not something you see very often.
I’m wearing the gray in size L here, so it’s easier to layer as an inner piece.
It’s not tight; if you want a perfect "just right" fit, go with a size L.
I paired it with an FOB factory military jacket.
Even when used as an inner layer, the accent color at the neck makes it look great.
It’s not printed, it’s not solid, and it’s not striped.
