The ultimate, effortless, and natural denim: "DENIME 224-66M (66 MODEL)"

After spending two weeks in a row playing in the mountains and rivers, I feel like I'm finally regaining a human lifestyle (lol).
Next up was, of course, the motorcycle; I really haven't ridden in ages.
I'm glad I hadn't forgotten how to ride.
Even after being left alone for several months, my W650 started on the first try and is running in tip-top shape.
Japanese cars and bikes really are wonderful.
While riding around aimlessly, I headed over to "DIRTY LOUNGE".
Those of you who visit our physical store might know this, but it’s the old location where Mr. OLDMAN used to be.
A few years ago, George-san opened DIRTY LOUNGE here, selling vintage clothes and motorcycle gear like helmets.
I was able to successfully snag the T-shirt I was looking for.

The denim I wanted to introduce today is this one.
It's the 224-66M (66 MODEL) released by DENIME.
The material used is denim developed by extracting unspun yarn from a "vintage banner," which was created using original denim fabric from the 1920s to the 1930s.
It is a special denim fabric woven by adding brown cotton to the American cotton used back then, while faithfully recreating the shape of the uneven yarn.
This "Mother Cotton" is a particularly special model among the many available, as it uses the denim exactly as it is, before it is even dyed.

Usually, the warp threads are rope-dyed, but this is woven on a GL3 loom without any dyeing process.
As the name "Mother Cotton" implies, it is the original state of all indigo denim.
It is precisely with this denim that you can feel the texture of the cotton in its most raw form.
This isn't white, but has a true, natural ecru texture.
You can see little speckles here and there where the brown cotton is mixed in.

The silhouette follows the 70s 66 model.
It's not the boxy silhouette of the work pants from back then, but rather a clean, sharp silhouette with strong fashionable elements.
Perhaps it's a silhouette from the transitional era when jeans were moving from workwear to fashion?
The natural, raw atmosphere of this denim combined with this silhouette is truly excellent.
