Based on a 1940s Uncle Sam brand work shirt, it features an E-Z REACH POCKET (cigarette pocket) on the left chest, a distinctive double-layer pocket said to have been patented in 1937 and emblematic of UNCLE SAM. Designed to hold cigarettes, it helps keep them dry from body moisture and makes them easy to reach while working.
